GREENFIELD — Transitions Hair Salon in Greenfield is under new ownership, and the proprietors are inviting new and current customers to stop by their 94 Main St. location.

Shannon Bassett of Bernardston and Seana Pitts of Gardner purchased Transitions from longtime owner Debbie DeHoyos, who recently moved to Florida. This is the first business venture for both women, who have a combined 22 years of experience as stylists.

“We have worked together for years, and we have a great relationship,” Pitts said. “This is an exciting step for us.”

Bassett said Transitions is a full-service salon. “We offer nail services, cut-and-color, waxing, Keratin treatments. Our motto is ‘Making Greenfield Beautiful since 2017!’”

Actually, Transitions has been around for a long time. DeHoyos purchased the salon from previous owners in Shelburne and moved it to Greenfield in 1999. “We are the third owners under the Transitions name, and we are proud to keep it going,” Bassett said. A building sign, which survived a fire at the Shelburne location in the ’90s, hangs in the Main Street salon.

Working with Pitts and Bassett is stylist Cristina Plugaru.

Transitions is open 6 days a week (closed on Sundays). Appointments can be made by calling 413-772-6500. More information about Transitions Hair Salon is available online at transitionshairstyling.com.
