Lt. Joe Kenda often says on the ID Channel, “Well, well, well, look what we have here.”

Let’s look at the recent My Turn by Ben Clarke, “We’re better than this,” [Recorder, Aug. 11]. The writer points out Trump being arrested for the fourth time, and the former president telling his supporters, “It’s a great honor because I am being arrested for you.”

I feel that’s a true statement. On the day he came down the escalator to announce his running for POTUS, I was jumping for joy, finally someone outside of government who has been successful and knows how the real world works, unlike the president we have in office now who has been in government his whole life.

But as days passed, Trumpers and Trumpets could feel the mainstream news media turning against him. It was like Joseph Goebbels rose from the grave to take charge of NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, Chuck Todd, the Recorder and of course, The View, and do everything they could to make sure Trump would not win in 2016 while paving the way for Hillary’s victory. Thank God they failed. Of course, that made the mainstream even more furious, so they turned up the heat.

The writer stated that Trump does what’s best for him. Always. Well, that’s a ludicrous statement. Trump donated his POTUS salary to different agencies. He greenlighted the Keystone XL pipeline and allowed drilling in our great country, making us energy independent with much cheaper gas prices.

He pulled us out of the ridiculous Paris Agreement. He cut taxes and made it more sensible for corporations to come home and hire Americans. He tried to stop undocumented immigrants from invading our country, bringing in crime and drugs that are killing us. Yet despite the unbelievable hostility he faced by the mainstream media and Hollywood he did an excellent job, possibly the best job for this country.

What we’ve seen since is the rise of crime, especially the smash-and-grabs happening in Democratic cities. Reckless no-cash bail that puts criminals ahead of victims. High inflation and gas prices. An open southern border that allows anyone to walk right through and receive free boarding, food, and medical care, turning us into a developing nation.

What other countries in the world would allow this? I would bet this is why Clarke’s colleague sent him an email stating, “What the hell is going on over there.”
