The ‘F’ Scale

In 1947 psychologists tried to figure out how a person becomes a fascist. The ‘F’ Scale is measure of the results from the Fascism Test. This is now available reading on Wikipedia, (last time I looked I found nothing on the internet about it.)

One of the overall characteristics of a person high on the ‘F’ Scale is an intolerance of ambiguity.

So if you can shrug your shoulders and say ‘I don’t know’ and be fine with that, then you are lower on the ‘F’ Scale. However, if you desire certainty and resist the collective unknowing, then you are ripe for a high ‘F’ Scale rating.

Fascinating reading and a good look at yourself.
