225th supplement

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Thank you for remembering me in the anniversary edition supplement. I served from 1946, fresh out of World War II Army service and in the Turners Falls office three years as assistant county editor, county editor, managing editor and editor until 1980.

I can still type the names of the county’s 26 towns alphabetically and wonder if Maud Fairbanks in Heath and Ruth Craft in Ashfield are still corresponding. It’s a new day but this newspaper is still doing its job brightly for the readership. Be grateful, readers!
