Letter: A sweet outcome

The recent Great Cupcake Challenge, a fundraiser for Neighbors at Home, was a huge success raising $1,700 for the project. Twenty-eight entries gave the judges a difficult task sampling and deciding winners as all the cupcakes were amazing. Special thanks to the three local businesses that originated the idea and organized the event: Leslie and Paul Cameron, owners of Cameron Winery; Shannon Dean, owner of Transitions Hair Salon; and Shelby Snow, manager of the Northfield Golf Club that also hosted the event. Many local businesses contributed raffle items and cash donations, too many to single out. We really appreciate the enthusiasm the Neighbors at Home project is receiving as we continue the organization phase prior to starting up the co-op in the near future to help seniors remain in their homes and enjoy being active in our community.
