Worried that your mail-in ballot will get lost? Don’t be. Massachusetts is one of at least 33 states that have ways for voters to track the progress of their ballots. Just go to Track My Ballot at mass.gov, fill in your name and street address, and the system will tell you whether your ballot has been received at the appropriate town office. It also gives the contact information for the town clerk. If your ballot isn’t there by the time you think it should be, contact the town clerk to see what you should do.

You can also put the ballot in a drop box or hand it in at the Town Clerk’s office, if you’re still uncomfortable mailing it in.

The important thing is to request the mail-in ballot early so there is time for it to get there.

Above all, vote.
