If D.L.Moody, b. 1837, were CEO of a large architectural firm today, I think I know how he would help make the aesthetic and business decisions concerning the proposed mega complex in a residential area of Northfield.
Moody used only the finest materials, hired the best Queen Anne architects, employed the most competent engineers and craftspeople, and engaged the most thoughtful landscape artists of his time. Each of Moody’s buildings were placed on a beautiful plot of land (not .8 of an acre) like a magnificent trophy, to be treasured and loved for generations. He knew the right design, the right scale, and the right location was essential.
