I would like to point out that nowhere in the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, nor the Constitution of the United States of America is there any mention of Christianity as being their founding principles.
And what makes one think that Christian values are any better than any other religious or secular values. The only mention of God in any of the three documents is in the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence referring to “Nature’s God”, and “their Creator.”
And for the record, Christians have no ownership to the word “amen.” It is an ancient Hebrew word. And I just don’t know what to say about her statement “… and a-woman!”
I was going to list the names of a number of gods from many religions and cultures, but it is not necessary. Just remember that no one god is mentioned in any of our founding documents.
And while I am at it, for those of you, Christians and non-Christians alike, who are anti-immigration, “legal” or otherwise, look at the ninth paragraph of the Declaration of Independence where it accuses the King of Great Britain of “… obstructing the laws of naturalization of foreigners; refusing to pass others [laws] to encourage their migration hither.” It sounds just like someone else we know.
Remember, most of the families coming to our southern borders are running away from oppression and violence.
