Something ‘deeply flawed’ in America

I am writing in support of columnist Al Norman. Both books he and I reference, “Bowling Alone,” and “The Geography of Nowhere,” explicitly point to the blandness, lack of community/continuity and social isolation that plagues our American Society. What exactly are we progressing to in regards to spirituality, community, shared understanding and empathy. Instead we are progressing to isolation, drug addiction, and suicide increases. Something is deeply flawed and yes we are great as a country in economics, technology, medicine, individual freedom and all those non community items.
