Grateful to all for Pride Month event

Thanks to Rev. Candice Ashenden and her partner Pam for their personal courage, to reporter Greg Vine for a nice Athol Daily News report on the Pride Month event at the Athol Congregational Church and to the editor for publishing it, to members of that church who welcome and support their openly gay minister, and to Diane Lincoln of the former Bruce's Browser for Pride events there in the past. This all adds up to progress and good news and I, for one, am grateful, as I remember attending the first pride march in New York City in June 1970, so uncertain about the future, and yet so certain that we needed to march to proclaim our dignity and freedom. Thanks to all.
