As a fiscal conservative, I was delighted to see the success of the BEACON Learning Program [“Giving students a beacon of hope” Recorder, Nov. 4]. Peter Drucker said, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure.” Most people look for solutions, not-pie-in-the sky promises with no evaluations or follow-ups.

Congratulations to all participating students and staff for understanding multiple intelligences.
