Opposes Aldi’s store in Greenfield

I hope that the appropriate boards of the city of Greenfield will deny Aldi’s request to place a store on the northern side of Route 2, going west. This area is already dense with retail. The south side contains a mall with Big Y, Staples and a number of other stores. On the side that Aldi’s proposes for their store there are already several restaurants, retail stores, as well as Home Depot. The rotary is a short distance away and traffic problems seem inevitable. Additionally, the site infringes on wetlands; the company has no commitment to buying local agricultural products; they use part time help to reduce costs; they propose burying large underground propane tanks rather than using renewable heat options; they intend to rent the space, not buy it, so that they can step away if their projections are not met. Wrong store. Wrong place. Let’s show them the door now.
