Gary Deyo: Images need dialogue

I don’t often agree with columnist Jon Huer. I have to agree his recent column was spot on [“Pictures without words,” Recorder, Dec. 2]. 

Without dialogue one does not know what the image is trying to say. An image can conjure up a multitude of possibilities, many to which my thinking will be negative.

Huer is correct that if we rely on images without dialogue, we can easily be led to places we do not want to go.

It is my hope more people see images as Huer and I do.
