In November 2022, Recorder reporer Julian Mendoza wrote a wonderful piece about the Scarf Project. It was a lovely example of someone who saw a need in her community and creatively addressed it. Sandra Cross gathered her merry band of crafters to offer a variety of handmade items such as scarves, mittens and hats.

These were left on the Greenfield Common for free to anyone in need. What an uplifting story. Lucky us to live in an area where such a kind heart illuminates and inspires.
