I’ve thought about writing you for a while, today is the day it seems. First, a shout out to the writers in the sports department. I follow all the high school sports stories in every season, and I’ve been so impressed by the even-handedness of your coverage of all the games. The winning team is made note of, with photos of some players, but the team who doesn’t win is noticed also, with positive comments always and sometimes a photo. It’s just “nice” to read these each day. Also, the photos are often quite wonderful action pictures. (Thanks Paul Franz, Dan Little)This is a true antidote to what’s usually other news of the day.
Thanks to Bill Danielson, the first thing l read on Monday morning. A true educator with a great sense of humor, I learn something and smile as the week begins. (So glad you’ve added some color to his page — such pleasure to see what he sees.)
EvelineMacDougall is such an excellent writer and knows many interesting people. She is a great addition to the paper; her pieces always bring something new. And Mary Byrne is another writer of excellence.
And speaking of color, thank you for the e-edition! When there are large photo spreads in black and white, they are just too difficult to deal with. I open the e-edition and everything is in glorious color. And the print is much easier to read.
This is probably too long for a letter, but I wanted to say that I appreciate the Greenfield Recorder and all it does to present our corner of the world to others, each day. Thank you, from this “Constant Reader.”
