To steal the proceeds of the forced sale of a home, beyond the taxes owed, is beyond wrong. It is illegal, immoral, stupid and just plain mean.

It is illegal because the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled it illegal. It is immoral in that it is the kind of theft that erodes not only personal assets, but the soul of the community. It is stupid because it persists despite being illegal and immoral. It is mean because it is simply … well … mean. Besides being wrong, and it should stop.
