I am writing to express my strong support for the re-election of Greenfield Mayor RoxannWedegartner.

I am supporting Wedegartner because of the many important things she has managed to accomplish as mayor. She led the city safely through a pandemic; we now have a new skate park; 101 new housing units are coming to downtown Greenfield; she secured over $80 million in grant funding in two years; we now have a new library and we’re building a new fire station!

But, I’m not alone in my endorsement of Wedegartner. Do you know who else endorses her? That would be Gov. Maura Healy and Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll. Here is some of what Healey has to say: “Mayor Wedegartner is a leader when it comes to tackling issues that matter to the residents of Greenfield – from housing to economic development to infrastructure. She is an outstanding partner and leader, and we are proud to endorse her in the campaign.”

Driscoll has this to say: “Mayor Wedegartner has proven she can get stuff done in Greenfield and is a critical partner for me and Governor Healey in moving Massachusetts forward. I’ve been honored to work alongside Mayor Wedegartner as a colleague when she was a new mayor, and as Lieutenant Governor as she tackled vital challenges and opportunities, from housing and affordability to infrastructure improvement and smart fiscal management. She’s more than earned another term in office, I’m proud to endorse her and I can’t wait to get to work with her throughout the campaign ahead.”

Former State Rep. Bill Benson, who represented Greenfield at the State House in the 2nd Franklin District for three terms said, “This endorsement is evidence of Wedegartner’s ability to develop good working relationships on Beacon Hill regarding issues important to our community.”
