Vote against the French King Highway proposal

I don’t think The Recorder characterized the comments at the Jan. 18 Greenfield Town Council meeting accurately.

You wrote, “The message from the public was loud and clear before Wednesday night’s Town Council vote on a proposal to ease restrictions on commercial development along the French King Highway: slow the process down.” No, the message from the public was loud and clear: vote against easing restrictions.

Dozens of people came forward against the proposal. Some expressed concern about the speed of the process, but almost all agreed: we don’t need more fast food restaurants and gas stations in Greenfield. When the proposal comes up again, don’t slow down the process. Stop it. Vote against the proposal.
