The Franklin County Rotary Club, together with the Greenfield Kiwanis Club are making preparations for their annual Festival of Trees, set to kick off on Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Yankee Candle Village Annex at 25 Greenfield Road in South Deerfield.

The Festival of Trees will run from Nov. 30 through Saturday, Dec. 16 on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with visitors welcomed to walk through the shimmering forest of sponsored trees by local businesses, civic and social organizations, schools, individuals and families.

This year, entertainment will be offered during the evening on Thursdays and Fridays and Saturday afternoons. Organizers hope this will attract more visitors to the event.

Trees will be raffled off at the conclusion of the event.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Franklin County and The Franklin County Sheriff’s Regional Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.

Everyone is welcomed and for those looking to participate in the event by sponsoring a tree, there is still space available. Please contact April Healey at ahealey@bankgcb.com.

Visit the Franklin County Rotary Facebook page for more information about how you can participate or to plan a visit to this event.
