Play Scrabble in Warwick

WARWICK — Scrabble Hour will continue at the Warwick Free Public Library on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Librarian Ivan Ussach said there will be one or two board sets at the library, but those who wish to play should feel free to bring their own in case a crowd shows up.

Highway Commission seats open

WARWICK — Having created a Highway Commission to oversee the Highway Department as a result of an Annual Town Meeting vote last year, the town is now seeking residents to fill three positions on the commission.

The three seats — which have terms of one-, two- and three-year terms — will be decided as part of the annual town election in May. According to Selectboard member Todd Dexter, the Selectboard has appointed Kevin Alden, Robert Croke and David Lambert as commissioners in the interim until the election.

The commission meets bi-weekly at Town Hall on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in running for the elected positions in May should see Town Clerk Jeannette Fellows for nomination papers.
