WARWICK — After years of service Town Clerk Rosa Fratangelo has resigned from her position due to personal reasons. She has also resigned from her dual position as the Town Secretary.

“Rosa’s work in the Town Clerk’s office was exemplary and the Board of Selectmen had no complaints with her work,” said Board of Selectmen Chair Lawrence “Doc” Pruyne in an emal.

“We will miss her excellent work ethic and precise minutes,” wrote Pruyne on Monday.

Pruyne went on to remember fondly how Rosa went above and beyond in her role. He said that when the new state regulations for information requests at Town Clerks’ offices kicked in, a mandate he described as “convoluted and difficult to decipher,”Fratangelo managed to make it easily understandable.

Fellow Warwick Selectmen member Todd Dexter echoed Pruyne’s thanks in another email, saying her performance and attention to detail will be missed.

He went on to state that the need for an interim town clerk is very real. Anyone interested in the position should contact Town Coordinator David Young.
