Summer Track & Field: For $5 a person a night, those ages 2 to 16 can participate in running, throwing and jumping events at Mohawk Trail Regional School. Track & Field nights will be held on Mondays, July 22 and 29, and Aug. 5 and 12. Registration starts at 5:15 p.m. with events kicking off at 5:30 p.m. Fill out registration forms at the track or call 413-773-3646, ext. 0 for more information.

Chronic Pain Programs: Some of the options this summer are yoga for chronic pain, tai chi, enhance fitness classes, balance and stretch classes, water therapy, water fitness and the First Step Fitness program. Most of these classes are free with a YMCA membership. Financial aid is available and can cover up to 70 percent of the fees. For more information, call 413-773-3646, ext. 448.

Swimming Lessons: The YMCA offers swimming lessons for all ages and families, as well as many kinds of adaptive programs for adults and children with special needs. Contact Aquatics Director Sarah Smith at 413-773-3646, ext. 427 for information.

ChildWatch: The Y offers low-cost child care for children ages 8 weeks to 6 years old while their parent exercises at the Y. The hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 to 11:15 a.m., and Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fees are as low as $62 for twenty 90-minute visits. Drop-in fees are $10 per visit. The Y offers group exercise classes, lap swimming, water fitness classes, and cardio and strength machines during ChildWatch hours. Sports Camp: Sports Camp is for boys and girls of all abilities ages 6 to 14. The campers use the Y’s air-conditioned gym, game room, Kid Fit Center and pool. The sports offered are basketball, recess games, Gaga/dodge ball, flag football and multi-sport. There are half-day, full-day and early and late care options. The full-day campers get a free lunch provided by the Greenfield Public Schools summer food program. A limited amount of financial aid is available. Gymnastics Camp: Gymnastics camps run through Aug. 16. There are half-day and full-day camps with early and late care available. These camps are for boys and girls age 4 to 14. The camp is held in the Y’s gymnastic center. The camps also have a swimming lesson and recreational swim every day. Registration for summer classes for youth and adults is now in progress. Classes for youth include swimming and gymnastics lessons (ages 1 to 12), track and field (ages 2 to 16), and basketball (grades seven to 10). Classes for adults include water fitness and therapy, strength training, diabetes care and blood pressure self-monitoring. The summer session runs through Aug. 18.
