TURNERS FALLS — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will temporarily close the White Bridge on Wednesday morning for a bridge inspection, according to transportation officials.

The closure will be in effect from 9 a.m. until at least noon on Turners Falls Road in Greenfield, which leads into Turners Falls by Canal Street.

There will be detail officers stationed at Loomis Road and Turners Falls Road in Greenfield, as well as an officer on the Turners Falls side, according to a post on the City of Greenfield Facebook page. Drivers are asked to plan accordingly and to use Route 2 or Montague City Road to travel between the two municipalities during that time.
