Paul Mark’s staff hosting office hours

BUCKLAND — State Sen. Paul Mark’s staff will hold office hours on Tuesdays, June 13 and 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at Buckland Town Hall.

Constituents of Mark’s Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin and Hampshire District are encouraged to ask for assistance with issues involving any state agency or share ideas on current or potential state legislation. Appointments are not needed.

School holding art show, barbecue

COLRAIN — Local artists Amy Kotel and Rebecca Aiken, along with first grade students at Colrain Central School, created art based on transcriptions of children’s stories. Their art will be on display on Friday, June 9, starting at 5 p.m. at the Parent-Teacher Organization’s annual schoolwide barbecue. There will also be an art auction, with half the proceeds going to Colrain Central School.

Forest programs offered in June

The Forest Climate Resilience Program will host three events in June.

■June 5 and June 7, 8:30 p.m. — Virtual Indigenous Ecology and Lands Stewardship seminar. Visit bit.ly/43FzwIs for details.

Trolley Museum offers speeder rides

SHELBURNE FALLS — Starting June 3, speeder rides will be available at the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum on the first Saturday of every month during the 2023 operating season. Speeders are small railcars that were formerly used by track inspectors and work crews to move quickly to and from work sites. Rides will be included in the cost of admission.

Grange hosting talk on scams

SHELBURNE — The Shelburne Grange will host a talk on avoiding scams on Wednesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Hall, 17 Little Mohawk Road. Information will be presented by Franklin County Technical School students. Refreshments and the election of officers will follow the presentation.
