St. Joseph’s Parish holding tag sale

SHELBURNE FALLS — St. Joseph’s Parish at 34 Monroe Ave. will hold a tag sale on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The tag sale will offer bargain items, homemade baked goods, a tea cup auction, furniture, jewelry, collectibles, home goods, a book sale, fabric remnants, food and more. Raffles featuring a $100 Big Y gift card, a $100 Mobil gas gift card and a $100 cash prize will also be available.

Spirit doll workshop set for Aug. 13

SHELBURNE FALLS — The Salmon Falls Gallery at 1 Ashfield St. will host a spirit doll workshop on Sunday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. with artist Belinda Lyons Zucker.

At the end of this hands-on workshop, attendees will take home their own spirit doll. Dolls will be crafted with pre-made bodies and participants will embellish them with beads, embroidery, words and fabric.

The workshop costs $75 and includes materials, though participants are encouraged to bring small items like earrings, beads or scrap pieces of fabric.
