Colrain student named to Castleton Dean’s List

COLRAIN — Sarah Herzig of Colrain was named to the Dean’s List at Castleton University in Vermont for the fall 2022 semester.

She previously attended Mohawk Trail Regional School and is the daughter of Ken Herzig and Rita Thibodeau.

Shelburne Grange to host talk about books, local history

SHELBURNE — The Shelburne Grange will host a business meeting and special program on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Hall on Little Mohawk Road.

The program will include a talk by Nancy Dole, owner of Nancy L. Dole Books and Ephemera in Shelburne Falls. The talk is titled “Books, Ephemera and Local History.”

Fire Department hosting spaghetti dinner

HEATH — The Heath Fire Department will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 18 Jacobs Road.

Takeout meals can be picked up between 4 and 5 p.m. and a sit-down dinner will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Reserve a seat by emailing heathfireassoc@aol.com. The event will include a 50/50 raffle and people are invited to bring their own drinks.

Solstice storytelling video now available

ASHFIELD — The 38th annual Solstice Storytelling and Songfest Celebration is now available to watch online.

The event, which took place Dec. 17, had a low turnout due to severe weather. Organizers have placed a recording of the video online for those who missed the performance.
