Intersection sewer work starting

SHELBURNE FALLS — GEG Associates plans to start sewer work at the intersection of Bridge and Main streets during the week of April 10.

Precast concrete structures will be delivered on Monday and stored along the edge of the roadway across from Greenfield Savings Bank, according to a notice from Linda Overing of Breezeway Farm Consulting, who distributes project updates on Shelburne’s behalf.

GEG Associates may also start moving businesses over to the temporary water supply by mid-week and continue into the following week.

The detour travel route will consist of Mechanic Street, Cross Street and Water Street. Vehicles can still park from Keystone Market to the Iron Bridge on both sides of Bridge Street, but parking between Baker Avenue and Mechanic Street will be limited.

All work is weather dependent, and dates may be extended due to inclement weather. With questions, contact gcg@gcgassociates.net or 978-657-9714.
