‘Understanding and Untangling
Colonization’
ASHFIELD — Community members are invited to attend the Forest Climate Resilience Program’s workshop, “Understanding and Untangling Colonization,” on Monday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. led by the Ohketeau Cultural Center at Double Edge Theatre, located at 948 Conway Road.
According to a notice announcing the event, the workshop will help attendees better understand the devastating and ongoing effects of settler colonization, as well as share strategies to decolonize and become better allies.

The Forest Climate Resilience Program is led by Mass Audubon in partnership with the Woodlands Partnership of Northwest Massachusetts, the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science, the Massachusetts Woodlands Institute, The Nature Conservancy and the New England Forestry Foundation. The integration of traditional ecological knowledge into the program is led by the Ohketeau Cultural Center.
SHELBURNE — Matt Taylor will present the second half of his story detailing his family trip to Italy at the Shelburne Grange business meeting, to be held at Fellowship Hall, 17 Little Mohawk Road, on Wednesday, April 5, at 7 p.m.
Taylor’s story will be followed by the monthly business meeting. The Grange is also in need of two volunteers to serve light refreshments.
BUCKLAND — State Sen. Paul Mark’s staff will hold office hours on April 11 and April 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at Buckland Town Hall.
