WARWICK — With three contested seats in this year’s annual town election, voters have choices to make about who will run local government this upcoming year.

The annual Town Election is scheduled for Monday, May 15 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall.

The Board of Health, Transfer Station Commissioner and School Board seats are all contested.

Anna Picard and Michael Italia are vying for one three-year term on the Board of Health.

Picard said she is running for the position because she has spent the last year clerking for the board, and hopes to play a more active role in the community.

“I think being part of the board as a clerk has given me a chance to see what they do and taught me how to be the most helpful I can be,” Picard said.

Attempts to reach Italia for this article were unsuccessful by press time on Friday.

Three candidates are running for the three-year position on the Transfer Station Commission.
