BERNARDSTON — Two loaded firearms, 76 grams of crack cocaine and more than 2,000 bags of heroin were found after a traffic stop just before midnight Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Massachusetts State Police, Trooper Michael Leslie from the state police’s Shelburne Falls Barracks stopped a 2004 Ford Focus on Interstate Highway 91 northbound in Bernardston for traffic violations.

The three vehicle occupants — Vincent Keithan, 42, Alicia Mitchell, 29, both of Lydonville, Vt., and Luis Andino, 23, of Springfield — were arrested after police discovered approximately 2,350 bags of heroin, 76 grams of crack cocaine, a 9 mm black Berretta with 10 rounds of ammunition and a Charter Arms .38 Special with 5 rounds of 38 caliber ammunition in the vehicle.

None of the occupants were licensed to have a firearm.

State police deployed a K-9 unit and had assistance from Greenfield Police Officer Emily Rowell during the stop and investigation.

All three arrested were transferred to the Franklin County House of Correction in Greenfield and held on $50,000 bail following booking.

Keithan was charged with 16 offenses — ranging from heroin, cocaine and fentanyl trafficking and conspiracy to violate drug laws, to possession of a firearm in a felony, to a marked lanes violation — and Mitchell and Andino were each charged with 12 firearms and drugs offenses.
