People were still taking advantage of every moment of the tax-free weekend around closing time on Sunday.

Business owners and customers alike enjoyed sales and shopping throughout the weekend.

Whitney Hill Antiques owner Dale Whitney said the weekend went well.

“It was phenomenal,” Whitney said. “We had a lot of people from out of state who came here just for the weekend. We had a variety of vendors, too. I’m very happy with the turn out.”

Sinara Moen said while she didn’t remember the tax free weekend, she happened to stop by the antique shop.

“We just came from my kids’ playing field and stopped by,” Moen said. “I love everything here.”

Down the road at Andy’s and the Oak Shoppe, co-owner Kate Finn said she was extremely pleased.

“It was a-maz-ing,” Finn said. “We have done way better than the last time we had a tax-free weekend. This year blew it out of the water. It’s been really fun. People are excited.”

She said there was an extra 10 percent discount throughout the store and people were able to purchase what they wanted.

Laurie Langeuin said she grew up in Conway, but lives in Michigan, and every time she comes back to the area, she visits Andy’s.

“I come through here whenever I’m in the area,” Langeuin said. “I hope to buy two rockers this time.”

Heather Morse of Monson said she was driving back from Vermont and decided to stop because she finds Andy’s has quality materials.

“It’s really nice that they’re having this sale,” Morse said. “It would have been nice when we needed something big, but this is great.”
