Greenfield

Quilt Raffle: A handmade quilt measuring 84-by-84 inches is being raffled at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center gift shop. Tickets are one for $2, three for $5 or six for $10. Drawing will be Friday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at the gift shop. Proceeds will benefit the Annie S. Barclay Scholarship Fund to support students pursuing a career in health care.

Attention Veterans: Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 33 in Greenfield welcomes guests to chapter meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the John Zon Community Center, 35 Pleasant St. Monthly meetings take place in September through November and February through June. Veterans who have suffered or aggravated an injury or illness, while serving during a period of armed conflict, and were not dishonorably discharged are eligible to join.

GriefShare, a 13-week Christian support group, is now taking place at Living Waters Assembly of God, 450 Davis St. Encourages and helps those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one, family member, friend, son, daughter, child, parent, relative or whoever, and helps to bring comfort, strength, healing and joy to their lives. Every Tuesday at 11 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.

The Center for Self-Reliance Food Pantry, 3 Osgood St., is open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to eligible Franklin County residents. Northfield

Northfield Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. in the lower level of Northfield Town Hall. NKC engages in meaningful community service projects and raises money to provides scholarships and camperships to area children. Orange

62nd Moore Reunion Celebrated: The annual Moore reunion took place Aug. 25 in Goddard Park in North Orange. The descendants of John and “Lottie” Moore hold the Moore Reunion on the fourth Sunday of August, excluding Labor Day weekend. There were 47 family members, two guests and one dog present. A buffet dinner was served in the church. The Pearl Vorce family was in charge of this year’s reunion under the direction of the descendants of Pearl (Moore) and Al Vorce. Games for the children were organized by Cheryl Andrews. Madilyn Moore was the youngest member present, and Beverly Allen was the senior member. Sienna Moore donated flowers she raised to decorate the tables and the Allen family do nated ice cream from their Strafford Farms Dairy located in Dover, N.H. Next year’s reunion will be Aug. 23, with the Allen family hosting.

NELCWIT Support Group: Creative Ways is a support group for survivors of abusive relationships to express their emotions through artistic mediums, facilitated by a NELCWIT counselor. Greenfield Salvation Army Free Community Meals and Drop-in Center: Open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Lunch 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday. Coffee is always on.

A Free Community Meal is served Mondays at 5:30 p.m., Our Lady of Peace Church, 7th Street, Turners Falls. Sponsored by the Franklin County Community Meals Program.

Second Helping Supper: Mondays, Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew, 8 Church St., Greenfield. Doors open at 4 p.m., supper served at 5:30. Sponsored by the church and Deerfield Academy.
