Holiday Gifts: Gift certificates and Greenfield Recreation Department sweatshirts are available for purchase in our office. Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount and can be used for all programs the Recreation Department offers as well as season passes to the swim area. Forest green hooded sweatshirts with the Poet Seat Tower recreation logo on front chest are also available in adult small to 2XL for $30.

Pee Wee Basketball: Registration for Pee Wee Basketball, grades K-2 is open. Learn the fundamentals of the game through skill-building drills and scrimmages. Pee Wee will be Thursday nights, Jan. 9 through March 5. $35 residents, $45 non-residents. Registration deadline is Jan. 2. An additional $5 late fee will be added for all late registrations.

Parking Meter Painting: Join us in helping make Greenfield more beautiful one parking meter at a time. Meters will be available to paint over the course of three days, Jan. 14 to 16. Artists 16 and older may work independently, and we ask that younger children participate with the guidance of an adult partner. We encourage families and groups interested in participating to collaborate on a design. Canvasses will also be provided for young artists interested in creating an independent masterpiece. Registration is free, but registration deadline is Jan. 7. Registrations accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

February Break Vacation Week: Sign up for a week of activities, games, and outdoor fun for your child grades K-6. This program takes place at the Youth Center, 20 Sanderson St. from Tuesday, Feb. 18 to Friday, Feb. 21. Regular hours 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with early and late care available. Walking field trips to Beacon Field for sledding, skating, and snow fun. Lunch, afternoon snack, and drink must be sent with child. Morning snack provided. Children also must bring appropriate winter clothing (boots, hats, gloves, etc). $120 residents, $130 non-residents. Additional fees for early and late care. Registration deadline is Feb. 4. A $25 late fee will be assessed for all late registrations.
