Renew Swim Area Season Passes: Now is the time to come into the office at 20 Sanderson St. to sign up or renew your summer swim passes. Visit our website, greenfieldrecreation.com, for more information about passes and summer hours.

Coop Concert Series: Join us every Thursday this summer from 6 to 8 p.m. for concerts at the Energy Park. Bring blankets, chairs and a picnic for an enjoyable evening of music. Be on the lookout for the full summer schedule at greenfieldrecreation.com/concertseries.

Hiring Lifeguards: The Recreation Department is looking for certified lifeguards, age 16 and up, to join the team at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area for the summer. Interested applicants should call 413-772-1553 or email Kelly.jenkins@greenfield-ma.gov for more information.

Bike Rodeo: Saturday, June 1, at the Greenfield Middle School from 1 to 2 p.m. for children in kindergarten through fourth grade and less experienced riders, and 2 to 3 p.m. for fourth- to eighth-graders and more experienced riders. Learn how to safely navigate the street while biking. Practice on an interactive course. Include bike safety, a helmet safety check and more. A limited number of free helmets will be available.

Learn to Play Tennis: Give tennis a try at the Davis Street courts on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and/or Wednesday, June 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This free program for ages 6 and up will introduce basic tennis strokes, rules and scoring. Participants completing one or both sessions will receive a tennis racket and can of tennis balls. Donations of new and used racket welcomed. Registration required.

Babysitters Certification Course: June 10 and 11 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at 20 Sanderson St. This course, offered for youth ages 11 and up, provides safety skills to learn what parents expect in a babysitter and give you the skills needed to handle any babysitting situation. Recommended if you are interested in a position as a camp counselor. You must attend both days for certification. $52 residents; $62 non-residents.

Hillside Block Party: Thursday, June 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hillside Park with music, games and food.

GRASP Highlights: GRASP offers half-day care as well as regular after-school care. Students in the Greenfield Recreation After School Program at Federal Street and Four Corners schools enjoy special craft projects, outside fun and extra free choice programming on half days.
