Parking Meter Painting: In celebration of Mass. ArtWeek, join in helping make Greenfield more beautiful one parking meter at a time! Meters will be available to paint over the course of three days, April 30 to May 2, 5 to 7 p.m. at 20 Sanderson St. Artists 16+ may work independently, and we ask that younger children participate with the guidance of an adult partner. We encourage families and groups interested in participating to collaborate on a design. Canvasses will also be provided for young artists interested in creating an independent masterpiece. Registration is free. Emergency Bike Road Repair 101: Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m. Bicycle World, will lead a do-it-yourself workshop on emergency bike repair. Learn to repair flat tires, brake cables, bent wheels, etc. Find out what to look for at the scene of an accident and what to carry with you to get you up and running again. What should be in your emergency kit? Bring your own bike and tube. Supplies available to purchase.

Renew Swim Area Season Passes: Purchase or renew season passes to the Green River Swimming & Recreation Area by May 1 to receive the early bird special of four free guest passes and a coupon for a free ice cream

Tee Ball: Tee Ball is for ages 5-7 (must be 5 at the start of the program). Players will learn fundamental skills and good sportsmanship through confidence building drills and activities along with scrimmages. Saturdays, May 4 to June 8, 8:30 to 10 a.m. $35 residents, $45 non-residents. Volunteer coaches needed.

Buddy Baseball: Buddy Baseball begins Saturday, May 11 and runs through June 29 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Greenfield Middle School. This program is for youth with disabilities, where each player will have a peer buddy to assist with skills the player cannot perform. Buddies and coaches are needed for this program. Come join us in celebrating 25 years of Buddy Baseball. $25 residents, $35 non-residents.

Start Smart Baseball: Start Smart Baseball is for children 3-5 and teaches children the basic skills necessary to play organized baseball while spending time with their parents. All participants leave with their very own baseball kit. Tuesdays, May 14 to June 18, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Swim Area. $45 residents, $55 non-residents.

Hiring Lifeguards: The Recreation Department is looking for certified lifeguards, age 16+, to join our incredible team at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area for the summer. Interested applicants call 413-772-1553 or email Kelly.jenkins@greenfield-ma.gov for more information.

GRASP Highlights: Did you know GRASP offers half day care as well as regular afterschool care? Students in the Greenfield Recreation After School Program at Federal Street and Four Corners Schools have a blast enjoying special craft projects, outside fun, and extra free choice programming on half days!
