GREENFIELD — The associate principal at Greenfield High School assured the community Friday that students and staff were safe at all times as administrators investigated a potential threat.

Gina Johnson sent a mass email to explain that a staff member had overheard a threatening statement made by a student. According to Johnson, the school investigated and followed its safety and security protocols, which includes working with the Greenfield Police Department. It was determined there was no threat to student or staff safety.
