DEERFIELD — Two Springfield residents were arrested on drug charges, after they were stopped by State Police Trooper Jesse Gadarowski for speeding on Interstate 91.

Dawn Gillette, 39, of Springfield was arrested Saturday night for trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws.  She was also charged with unlawful possession of Class E prescription medication and was cited for speeding.

Torren Boyd, 36, the passenger, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of cocaine and cited for a seatbelt violation.

Their vehicle, a 2011 Toyota Camry, was traveling too fast when it was stopped by Gadarowski. A subsequent investigation, which included a K-9 dog, turned up about 60 grams of cocaine and prescription medication. They were to be arraigned in Greenfield District Court.
