Outreach meeting coming for proposed marijuana establishment

CONWAY – A community outreach meeting for a proposed marijuana establishment is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Conway Town Hall at 5 Academy Hill Road on Feb. 2.

The proposed cultivation and manufacturing marijuana establishment is expected to be located at 1230 Main Poland Road in Conway. The outreach meeting provides an opportunity for the public to ask questions.

According to real estate transactions printed in The Recorder in February 2018, Anita Elise Rymer, a trustee of the Anita Elise Rymer 2006 Trust, of Santa Fe, N.M., sold the property to Philip E. Bowden and Sean Leah Bowden, of San Diego, Calif., for $391,000.

Site plan review application available

CONWAY – The town’s site plan review application and fee schedule is available for review prior to the public hearing scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Selectboard Room of Conway Town Office on Feb. 7.

Preschool applications available

SOUTH DEERFIELD – Preschool applications are now available for the 2019-20 school year.

There are full-day, integrated preschool programs for Deerfield, Conway, Sunderland and Whately.

To receive an application, call Rhonda at the superintendent’s office, at 413-665-1155. Applications are due by March 1.

SOUTH DEERFIELD – Yankee Candle has debuted its first-ever Scent of the Year.

“One Together” is described as being created with the fragrance of the rare miracle flower, a scent never before used at candlemaking giant.
