DEERFIELD — The Deerfield Cultural Council is excited to announce the opening of its funding cycle for fiscal year 2025. Local artists, educators, cultural organizations and performance groups are invited to apply for funds to support a wide range of cultural activities that benefit the Deerfield community.
Applications are being accepted now and must be submitted by Oct. 16.
All interested applicants are encouraged to visit the Deerfield Cultural Council’s page on the Massachusetts Cultural Council website for detailed information on eligibility, funding priorities and application instructions. The Cultural Council is particularly interested in projects that highlight Deerfield’s history; enhance community-oriented arts, culture and science programs; promote inclusivity; and foster activities that are accessible and available to all ages.
LEVERETT — Mount Toby Concerts will continue its ongoing music series on Saturday, Sept. 21, when Paul Kaplan and Sarah Pirtle will take the stage.
Kaplan and Pirtle are both folk singers with long-running careers based on songs featuring anti-war and peace messages. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
