DEERFIELD — A section of Greenfield Road (Routes 5 and 10) will be closed at 9 p.m. Tuesday by the state Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to address flooding from recent rainstorms.

The section of the state highway near Richardson’s Candy Kitchen, at 500 Greenfield Road, will be closed to give MassDOT time to pump out water flooding the area and open clogged pipes, according to a post on the Deerfield Police Department’s Facebook page.

Traffic will be detoured through Wells Cross Road and Old Main Street.
