GREENFIELD — Greenfield District Court last week granted a local mother a temporary harassment prevention order on behalf of her 12-year-old child against Hollywood actor Ezra Miller, according to published news reports.

Details are scarce because of the involved child’s age, and District Court officials will neither confirm nor deny specifics of the case. The same goes for William Gordon, acting chief of the Greenfield Police Department.

NBC News reported the prevention order does not contain any allegations against Miller, 29, but it “was issued without advance notice because the court determined that there is a substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.” The order is reportedly a result of a series of encounters between Miller and three Greenfield residents: the 12-year-old, that child’s mother and a neighbor.

The Daily Beast reported the first encounter took place on Feb. 2, when Miller allegedly went to the home of the mother and child’s downstairs neighbor, who is reportedly in a band with one of Miller’s close friends. Miller reportedly owns a ranch in Stamford, Vermont, about 40 miles from Greenfield.

The actor is known for roles in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” as well as three “Fantastic Beasts” movies and for portraying The Flash superhero character in various media, including a film of the same name set to be released next June.

This is the second protective order issued this month against Miller, with the other being issued by a North Dakota court. Attorney and activist Chase Iron Eyes and his wife, Sara Jumping Eagle, petitioned a court to protect their child, 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, accusing Miller of psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating, and endangering the safety and welfare of their child. The actor also faces charges in Hawaii, including disorderly conduct and assault.

Miller’s verified Instagram account was deleted last week, adding to the mystery surrounding Miller’s whereabouts.
