GREENFIELD — Racial Justice Rising will hold a screening of the documentary “13th” by filmmaker Ava DuVernay, followed by a facilitated discussion, as part of its free monthly program on Jan. 6.
In this film, DuVernay analyzes what she sees as the criminalization of African Americans and the United States prison boom. The screening will take place at the First Congregational Church, 43 Silver St., from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Light refreshments will be available and donations are welcome.
