MONTAGUE — Holiday shopping in Montague starts this weekend with the appearance of several “pop-up shops” — temporary storefronts with limited hours.

Montague Center

“No Regular Thing” is open this weekend and next, and sells handmade and vintage home goods, furniture, decor, toys and art.

“It’s called No Regular Thing because the things really are not regular. They’re one-of-a-kind,” said Laurie Rhoades, who is running the shop in her home office.

The shop is at 7 North St. in Montague Center (a yellow farmhouse behind the Montague Center Library). It is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the same hours on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.

Millers Falls

Three art galleries in downtown Millers Falls will be open for a holiday sale next weekend, featuring original paintings, prints, 3-D art and other items by artists from Montague and surrounding towns.

The three galleries are Cornertopia, New Story and Eric Grab’s art studio, all of which are centered around the intersection of Main Street and Bridge Street. They will be open Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m.

“We’re all working together down there, which is pretty hip,” said Eric Grab, one of the Millers Falls artists co-organizing the sale.

Turners Falls

■Great Falls Gift Mart, a vintage shop in downtown Turners Falls, opened Friday and will be open through the weekend before Christmas.

The shop is sponsored by Buckingham Rabbits Vintage, a vintage and secondhand clothing store at 42 Canal St. Great Falls Gift Mart has vintage clothes, accessories, ephemera and handmade gifts, according to a press release from Turners Falls RiverCulture.

Great Falls Gift Mart is at 102 Avenue A. It is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Its last day is Dec. 22.

■Arcana Art Jewelry is a sale and show at the Local Yoga Joint by several local artists, opening Saturday and running through the month of December.

The show includes art, gifts, jewelry, handmade cards, CBD (cannabidiol) chocolates and more. A reception is Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. The Local Yoga Joint is at 42 Canal St. in Turners Falls.
