DA endorses Wedegartner for mayor

GREENFIELD — Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan has endorsed Mayor Roxann Wedegartner for reelection. Wedegartner is seeking a second term as mayor of Greenfield.

“Mayor Wedegartner has been a tireless partner in our work to build safer communities,” Sullivan said in a statement. “In her first term as mayor, Mayor Wedegartner has delivered time and again through her partnership supporting my office’s efforts to prevent crime and to collaborate with communities on combating opioid abuse, domestic violence and child abuse, as well as with assisting our veterans and our youth.”

“District Attorney Dave Sullivan has transformed the scope of work of the District Attorney’s Office in myriad ways, including his recent advocacy at the State House for legislation to set up overdose prevention centers,” Wedegartner said in a statement. “On combating opioid abuse, he has centered his work on prevention and harm reduction. I am so proud to have his endorsement.”
