Greenfield, Nov. 27

3:15 p.m. — Police were advised of a missing person from Victory House on Conway Street, and will investigate. 

7:53 p.m. — After a woman called the police that an individual would not give her back her backpack. Marie T. Vandal, 29, of the streets of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant. 

Greenfield, Nov. 28

1:15 a.m. — Cynthia D. Mchaley, 37, of Miles Street was arrested on a warrant, following a call from the Franklin Recovery Center on Federal Street of a woman in the lobby who was being disruptive and disrespectful. 

1:42 a.m. — Police officers responded to a report of a stabbing during an altercation on Devens Street. Steven Derosiers, 27, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Greenfield, Nov. 28

4:35 p.m. — Police arrested Laura Ryan, 31, of Linden Ave., on a warrant. 

6:50 p.m. — Police responded to a Bradford Drive caller who reported she heard yelling and screaming from her neighbor, including someone say, “I’m going to kill you.” Police found the yelling was over video games. 

Deerfield, Nov. 29

5:20 p.m. — Two-car accident at the intersection of Greenfield Road and Mill Village Road; one vehicle rear-ended the other. One person transported to hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed. South Deerfield Fire Department assisted with cleaning up fluids.

Greenfield, Nov. 29

11:45 p.m. — An altercation between an employee at CVS on Federal Street and a patron, included a threat of using a knife on the other, led to a “mutual scuffle,” according to the police log. 

Deerfield Nov. 30

1 a.m. — Two Vermont women were arrested during a traffic stop. Betty Bashaw, 51, of Brattleboro was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Holyoke District Court and was transported to Holyoke for arraignment. Cynthia Radcliffe, 33, of Bennington was arrested on a charge of possession of crack cocaine. A third occupant, the driver, was cited for driving without a license in possession and for a defective tail light.

Greenfield, Nov. 30 

12:42 a.m. — Rabecka L. Mitchell, 37, of Eastern Ave., was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08, speeding and drug possession of a Class B and Class E drug. Mitchell was stopped near Factory Hollow Road. 

1:31 p.m. — Police issued a summons to Bruce M. Spradling, 54, of Silver Street following reports of repeated vandalism at a Garfield Street apartment. He was charged with assault and battery on a family or household member, strangulation or suffocation and criminal harassment. 

1:39 p.m. — A backpack full of hypodermic needles secured in sharps containers was found near Staples on Mohawk Trail. It was found along the fence line, behind Staples, by lawn care crew. 

11:40 p.m. — Seth Crawford, 39, of Montague was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 and with speeding. He was stopped near the intersection of Mountain Road and Maple Street. 

Greenfield, Dec. 1

3:10 p.m. — Following a traffic stop near Leyden Woods Lane, Albert E. Brunette, 55, of Petty Plain Road was arrested and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law and possession of a Class A drug. William T. Hanson, 55, of Juniper Court was arrested and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law and distribution of a Class A drug. 

3:15 p.m. — Following a report on an unwanted person at the John W. Olver Transit Center, Richard S. Bartak, 63, was arrested on charges of a warrant.

Greenfield, Dec. 2

12:27 a.m. — Following a traffic stop on Conway and Silver streets. Juan C. Carmona, 35, of Dudley, was arrested and charged with a subsequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating under the influence of drugs, subsequent offense of possession of a Class C drug, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield. Renee L. LaFortune, 36, of Dudley was issued a summons for allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle. 

Greenfield, Dec. 3

12:18 a.m. — David E. Rose, 19, of Leyden Road was arrested on a warrant, near Applebee’s. 

1:06 a.m. — Several reports of fireworks or gunshots in the area of Solon, Pray, Elm and Phillips streets led to the Fire Department putting out a small box on fire. 

2:31 p.m. — After allegedly stealing about $100 worth of items from Adam & Eve on Main Street, Erin G. Schacht, 37, homeless, was issued a summons on a charge of a third offense of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. 

6:50 p.m. — Jason R. Cooper, 32, of Conway Street was arrested on a warrant, following a welfare check at the Franklin County Emergency Shelter on Wells Street. 

6:53 p.m. — Police responded to multiple calls from Victory House on Conway Street. A female resident requested the police’s assistance with her injuries because the staff did not provide emergency medical services. Police also responded to a request by the program director because of issues among staffers.

9:20 p.m. — A Wells Street resident reported hearing his neighbors arguing and believes it may have become physical. Police reported that two people were arguing about patterns of underwear. They separated for the night.
