TURNERS FALLS — A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Friday afternoon near the intersection of Avenue A and 5th Street, Montague Police Lt. Chris Bonnett confirmed.

The incident was reported at 3:59 p.m. According to Turners Falls Fire Capt. Trisha Dana, the individual was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.

The Turners Falls Fire Department, Northfield EMS and Montague Police Department responded. Avenue A remained open, with officers directing traffic immediately following the collision.
