Matisyahu, who mixes traditional Jewish themes with modern reggae, rock and hip-hop sounds, performed a show at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center in Greenfield Thursday night in celebration of the Jewish holiday Purim.

A vocalist in the improvisational-jam scene for more than a decade, Matisyahu has now formed a band that rearranges lyrics on the spot to match the energy of a given concert. Matisyahu performed before a packed venue, and a meet and greet followed the show.
