The Massachusetts Department of Transportation honored David Conlon’s sixth grade class at Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School on Monday. Two students in the class, Harper Briggs and Wren Topitzer, came up with the name “Sled Zeppelin” as part of MassDOT’s first-ever statewide contest to name one of 12 snowplows. The students are pictured with the snowplow they named. The class also received a 100 gift card for school supplies.
