NORTHFIELD — A 23-year-old Northfield woman was reportedly uninjured after the vehicle she was driving went off the road and rolled over at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, closing Gulf Road for slightly more than an hour.

The woman was driving a gray Toyota Camry up Gulf Road toward Erving when, according to Police Chief Jon Hall, she glanced down at her GPS and struck a rut that had been washed out by rainfall, causing the car to flip. She was the vehicle’s sole occupant.

According to Fire Chief Floyd “Skip” Dunnell III, the accident occurred in the 300 block. He said the woman was evaluated by Northfield EMS and signed a release form declining medical care before she was picked up.

The car was towed. Hall said no citations were issued.
