Orange Senior Citizens Club holding meeting

ORANGE — The Orange Senior Citizens Club plans to hold a meeting at 62 Cheney St. at 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Following the business meeting, there will be a movie, popcorn and other refreshments prepared by Dottie Truckey and Nancy Magill.

Yoga class to benefit library renovation project

ORANGE — In collaboration with Wheeler Memorial Library, Caitlin Smith from Within Wellness plans to host a beginner-friendly yoga class at the Orange Innovation Center on Friday, Oct. 14, to help raise money for the library’s renovation project. The class is slated for 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 131 West Main St., Suite 221.

Through the class, Smith will touch upon the history of yoga, breathwork techniques, mediation and foundational poses. Variations and modifications will be provided so that everyone attending can find ease in each pose.

The cost to attend the class is based on a sliding scale, with a minimum of $5 and a suggested $15. All proceeds will be donated to the library to support its renovation project. Visit Linktr.ee/withinwellness to sign up.

Cruisers’ car show set for Sunday

ORANGE — The North Quabbin Cruisers’ Bob Harris Jr. Memorial Harvest Car Show is slated for the Orange Municipal Airport on Sunday.

Gates open for exhibitors at 8 a.m., with a $10 registration fee. There is no charge for spectators. Gates open for the public at 9 a.m. The event continues until 2 p.m.

All profits from the show go to scholarships. The North Quabbin Cruisers offers four $500 scholarships each year. Preference is given to those pursuing an automotive-related field. If there are not four applicants in that category, the scholarships are opened up to all other fields. The Orange Scholarship Fund also receives an annual donation.

There will be four food trucks present: the Athol Lion’s Club, Shane’s Hot Dogs, Smokin’ Food Truck 51 and Heavenly Treats ice cream.
